Interesting story from Annette
The story of how we found this branch of this family is really interesting. Aunt Madge had kept a birth announcement of twin girls born in Aniheim, Calif. In those days when we were doing this project we used telephone operators to place long distance calls. Sally called through the operator (with my encouragement) and asked for the phone number of the parent/or maybe brother of the twins (can't remember his name) and lo and behold she got a number. Aniheim is probably about 2 to 3 hundred thousand people! She called and the explained that we were looking for the twins named in the announcement and the man said "They are my sisters." I don't remember how she got a brother instead of a parent but thats what happened. They knew of the Texas connection and have even visited TX and gone to the cemetery where Sally met them. What a story. ah
