Jed gets award at Shelton

"His caring heart, love of animals and science, and his incredible imagination. Jed is a kind and quiet friend in our classroom.  He is a great helper when keeping track of our daily schedule, maintaining class order, and organizing the calendar as well as student Jobs.  We are so proud of his ability to memorize any story or
poem, his determination to complete at least 7 works on his contract every day, and his creative ability to draw characters in action, such as super heroes."

Preston turns 1!

The day began with Preston's first haircut.
Sherry, the manager at Sport Clips had the honor of cutting Mr. P's hair.  Jenna worked at Sport Clips when she was pregnant with Preston.  It took, Sherry, Jenna and Meme to keep him in line.  He did great.

Next it was the party.  There were at least 50 people at the event.  Gerran cooked hamburgers, hot dogs and sausage.  Jenna picked out all the right colors and decorated the fellowship hall.

So many presents he didn't know what to do with them all.

Mom, Dad and baby #2.  We will find out Wednesday what Jenna is having.

He would stand up at the stack of presents and then let go, not knowing he was standing on his own.  He will be walking soon.
 Sugar and her boy!

As if this wasn't enough, the weekend after this he was a ring bearer in Uncle Brandon and Aunt Brooke's wedding

CC - the Dallas Chihuahua

A message from Scott . . . .
Still trying to figure out how the heck this happened......

Olivia is a Freshman as of May 21!

Olivia on her way to a party.  She is the most beautiful girl ever - inside and out!
Not only that she is a SAC cheerleader!

Walter - May was a big month

Walter came to visit the Grandpa Meme and when they were at our house . . . he lost his first tooth!
Walter is busy with little league.  Below are pictures of him in his glory.

Rock of Ages

Thanks to Mike and Tracey Aleman, Gretchen got tickets to Rock of Ages at the Majestic Theatre.  Happy birthday GG!  It was a blast.  Gretchen and I sang to 80's rock all afternoon.

Mother's Day

After our Crystal City visit, we had a special family dinner with Tia and Mom at Tia's house.  Wes, Davy, the Scott Carr's and the Butler's enjoyed Mr. Rankin's ribs.
Sunday we went back to Crystal City for a visit with the Gibson's.  Pictured below is Granny with all 4 of her kids, James, Joy, Sissy & Carol.

Never know what you will find in Joy's freezer.  She had a hummingbird and this beatiful painted bunting.

I can't wait to go back to Joy's and learn how to make sequined Christmas stockings.

May visit to Crystal City

Jed holding Beaux.  This is amazing.  Beaux does not like to be touched.

Our Crystal City visit always begins with a visit with the Jonssons.  Scott and boys with the WWII vet.  We are so proud of Mr. Errol Jonsson.  Oh, proud of Scott, Jed & James as well!
After our visit with the Jonssons, it is off to Annette and Marty's.  After our delicious lunch and avacado sherbet, Jennifer, Marty and the boys went to Dairy Kreme and found this little jewel!

Originally named Tina, this beautiful, full blooded Chihuahua, was renamed CC (Crystal City).  CC is now adjusting to city life in Dallas.

CC and Connor seem to get along just great.
