Gator Swimming with the Carr Boys

A word from Jennifer . . .
Our Swim Team season ended Sunday night with a big awards party at the Sparkman Clubhouse and pool. James received the award for best Gator, which means he had a good attitude and tried his best during the season. We were thrilled for him to receive this award.  We are glad the coaches noticed and appreciated James.

The boys really worked hard this summer, we had practice every morning, Monday – Friday and a meet every Thursday night for 7 weeks! Both boys received Gator of the Week during the season and Jed had one meet where he won first place in every race he competed in!

A friend, James, Jackson (a good friend since they were little) and Jed.

One of the two talented girls that made this swim season happen, our very own Jennifer Carr.

Miranda goes to horse camp at Lazy 2 Ranch

Miranda is attending Equine Camp (horse camp) at Lazy 2 Ranch in Poteet.  The head wrangler is none other than my bestie, Karen Harris.

Sissy's 70th Birthday Party

Sissy's party was at Acadiana Cafe.  She had some friends from Uvalde join the party as well as family.  All her bothers, sisters and children were there as well as Granny.

Check Beth Moore off bucket list

On July 13 & 14, Jennifer (Butler) and I went to meet Amy at Cedar Park Conference Center to see Beth Moore.  She was amazing.  The spirit soared at that placed.  Chamaine Fredericks (Amy's sister-in-law), Dana Brizendine (Amy's sister), Julia (Amy's daughter), Ann Woodby (Amy's mother-in-law) and many others joined us. Julie Byrd Herbert was there and across the stage from our seats.  Amy began working on the team to welcome Beth a year ago.  Amy was able to get us floor seating.  It was amazing.

We had a birthday party for Sissy yesterday and she brought this to Byrom . . . So so sweet.

Miranda's first trip to Port Aransas

We went to the beach with Robin, Eric, Harrison & Mick.  The trip started out a little shaky.  I got stuck and Robin and Eric tried to dig me out, but it was useless.  Good thing a 4-wheel drive truck came along.  I thought about Lucas the whole time.  I was wishin it was Lucas in his truckasaurus that would have rescued us.
Someone did not tell Robin and Eric that we were at the beach, because we ate like we were at a 5-Star resort.  It was so fun!

Enchanted Rock May 28, 2012

On May 28, 2012, Byrom, Miranda and I went to Enchanted Rock.  We had lunch at Mamacitas in Fredericksburg before our adventure.  When we drove up to the site, I never imagined that we would get to the top, but we did.  Miranda Morgan said that she actually hiked Enchanted Rock one time in the rain.  I can't imagine.  I twisted my ankle on dry rock.
We saw deer within 10 feet and fun was had by all.

This is how most of the hike was with Byrom way ahead of us.

Miranda & Michaela Morgan 2012

The girls in the paper again.  On their own they went to the 100 Club of San Antonio fundraiser to aid families of fallen public servants.
In the article, they mixed up the names on both pictures.  '
