WASP - Army Air Corp Pilots - Mary Wagner

Byrom visited the Army Air Corp WASP museum in Sweetwater.  Byrom's dad had stories about driving the 90 year old women around for a reunion.  Mary Wager, Bradley's grandmother was one of the WASP.

Statue of what they would have looked like in their flight suits.

Mary Wagner is listed below

Miranda - field trips

Mission's game.  San Antonio Missions vs. Corpus Christi Hooks.  Below is Mallory, ?, Miranda, Journey & ? with the Jalepeno.
Mom was gone to Google training in Huntsville.

Byrom caught the rolling foul ball.  Miranda was PROUD.

Goog thing she was not tired.

Google Certification Academy - Huntsville, Texas

Karla and I started our trip on Cinco de Mayo.  Google Certification Academy here we come.  We traveled through Brenham and visited Jenna, Garren and babies on the way.
At the training we met some VERY smart ladies.  Below is Georgi Penny from Onalaska.  You can't tell from this picture or in person, but she is pregnant with her first baby.  She introduced us to 5 Loaves  Deli.  It is amazing.  They have a Bible open with a pair of reading glasses for assistance.  We also saw a little sign for CASA.  It had the best bread Karla and I have ever had.  Yummy!

We need to identify this plant.  It was HUGE and beautiful.  The flowers looked like irises.  It was across the street from Homestead restaurant.  We had dinner there on Tuesday evening.

Monday evening we had wine at Humphrey's.  Not a great place, but we had a ball.  It is across from Sam Houston State University.

More great food with Georgi.  They had the best pie you have ever tasted.  We had lots of sweets on our Google adventure.

Tuesday evening we dined at Homestead and visited Sam Houston's home.  It was DARLING.  Herb gardens, log cabins and much much more.

Karla taking a look in Sam Houston's house.

Ducks in the pond in the park.  They were sleeping.  PRECIOUS.

Dining and relaxing at Homestead.  Our favorite, bib and brie salad.

No trip is complete without a mani or a pedi.  We voted for pedi and were going to write it off as snails (escargot) instead of nails . . . ha ha ha

Peace garden

Thanks to my mom and Jennifer Carr (asparagus fern) and Bradley Wagner (fig ivy).  The tips of the asparagus fern look just like asparagus and truly the fig ivy is what makes it so beautiful, wink, wink
Byrom and I can take credit for the dead patches of grass that surround the peace garden.

A visit to Dallas to see the Cousins

Miranda had quite the experience when she went to Dallas to visit the cousins.  Aunt Jennifer treated her to raisin bread.  She said all she could think of was, "I hope they have this raisin bread at HEB".
One morning she came upstairs and said, "More cousins are here".  Turns out it was Sylvia the maid's grandchildren that she brings to Jennifer's when she cleans.  I guess we have to talk a little more about what a cousin is.

Shopping at Vera Bradley on the way

The cousins, Miranda, Savannah (Magical Mary) & James

While in Dallas, I visited Chuck Swindol's church.  It was wonderful!

Take a look at those pipes

Scott, Byrom and I went to see Aunt Rosemary.  That was a ton of fun.  Rosemary was very enamored with "Robert"  She thought he was quite handsome and said that 3rd time must have been the charm.  So Aunt Rosemary.
