Carter Sprouse
From Laura Ruth Butler Camfield,
I have to brag on Carter. His Mom got his assessment in 1st grade and he is going to 2nd. His reading level needs to be at 16 and he's at 40, which means he's at a 3rd or 4th grade level. His reading comprehension is at a 95 grade average! Mimi is so proud of him!
Will & Natalie's wedding
Will & Natalie's wedding
Will and Natalie live in Virginia and work in Washington DC (as far as I know). They are getting married on June 29, in Austin Texas.
It is going to be quite a weekend that will start on Thursday evening, with a party hosted by family.
Friday night, Natalie's parents are hosting a party at 219 West . . . MORGAN'S RESTAURANT. Unfortunately/fortunately, Morgan will be working the event.
Rusty's beer commercial
Rusty - HEB
You have to watch this commercial. It is hilarious. Rusty Woodland, Sid's bestie is featured in it. Rusty has been responsible for Whataburger ketsup and Frio River Beer. Way to go Rusty. You must have a great woman that stands by you :)
Tray Rankin
Tray Rankin in the San Antonio Express News
Very proud of Tray. Not only was he a great friend of Byrom, Sid and mine in Carrizo, his father, J.M. Rankin is married to Tia . . . so Tray is a cousin at this point.
Charles Barkley
Gretchen & Sid spend an evening with CHARLES BARKLEY
Sid went to the Spurs game and got to hangout with Charles Barkley. The next night, he, Gretchen and Toby went to a private party at Ruth Chris at Sunset Station. Gretchen said that Sir Charles was a gentleman and they had thought provoking conversations all evening.
This is one of 2 of Charles Barkley's body guards. He obviously wasn't doing to good of a job keep GG away from Charles :)

Tots & Technology - Galveston
Karla and I attended Tots & Technology in historic Galveston in June.
Our "first-time visitor" greeter was decked out in a bright orange suit. He took us all the way to the front. Here he is telling Karla all about the church.
Victoria spoke for quite a bit. I was a little afraid she was going to be speaking for Joel. Her story about how God sees us was amazing.
_________________________________________________________________________________After Joel Olsteen, it was off to Galveston we went. The boardwalk is a carnival amazement!
We really did go to learn and learn we did. Tots & Technology was packed with information, but we did some site seeing as well. Below is The Moody Mansion. I check with Wes Bean and he is not related to the Moody fortune, shucks!
The Moody car collection. Daddy has a similar collection, but his cars are Pontiac not Cadillac.
Each room of the Moody Mansion was decorated to perfection. The mansion was purchased for $20,000 by default of sorts after the devastating storm of 1900. Galveston was the "New York" of it's time. There was so much history in Galveston, we couldn't get enough of it.
The beautiful, protected stained glass of the Moody Mansion.
On to Bishop's Palace. I never knew Bishops could live like this. One of the tour guides said that the historical society was trying to purchase Bishops Palace for 2 or 3 million dollars and they had to the end of the month to come up with the money. They are close. The Palace is owned by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
More stained glass
A chandelier that would knock your socks off.
Inside the Bishop's Palace.
Ashton Villa and Visitors Center. Ashton Villa belonged to Gretchen Meyer Carr's family. It is not open to the public, but you can see the ball room and it is for rent for things like weddings. If you want access to the front door, you pay an additional $5000. You have to have to have access to the front door because of the amazing staircase.
Statue commemorating Juneteenth. Had to have a picture of that in honor of mother and daddy's anniversary.
The rentable room at Ashton Villa. Take a look at that chandalier!
Karla and I outside Ashton Villa. This fountain was owned by the family and purchased by the historical society.
Shy Katz is an amazing Christian owned establishment in Galveston. It is decorated with all kinds of christian sayings. The lady pictured below was so sweet to us. All home cooked food.
Take a look at the sign below
Bathroom at Shy Katz. I want them to decorate Miranda's bathroom :)

Sarah
Pictured below are some of Sarah & Lucas' good friends from Alaska. Amanda Wilson, Eddie Wilson, Ava Wilson, Pastor Clouse (sporting a hat Lucas gave him), Selia, Sarah & Lucas. This was the Clouse' last Sunday in Anchorage. They are moving to Wichita Falls, Texas, hence the cowboy hat gift from Lucas. Pastor Clouse should be so lucky as to have some fine lookin boots like Lucas.
Sarah has taken up crocheting. I can't believe my non-crafty daughter is showing me up in crocheting. What else does she have up her sleeve
